All the traditional trees on these pages are custom and individually made.
Traditional trees and plants are made with real wood trunks that we harvest from the forests here in Arizona.
We can put the trees in any pot you specify. Call us to discuss the different options available.
The pictures below are a sampling of different plants that we have built.
The tree to the left is a 13' Pepper tree on powerwashed Manzanita branches in a scalloped clay pot. We've left some branches open on the tree to add to the naturalness and artisanship of the tree.
Not to be confused with the Pepper tree, this is a 10' Weeping Willow on Manzanita in a traditonal Urn pot.
This tree also looks good in clay pots.
Below is an artistic Maiden Hair Fern Tree.
This was made and installed in a very natural home just below Pinnacle Peak in Az
This is 7.5' Olive tree in a clay pot.
This olive tree is made with a vertical stem that is actually made to be put in florals. It's the best olive branch we can find and does well when we make it in what we call a "parlor style".
Parlor style means that a tree looks a little more formal and is compact and fits into thinner spaces well.
Below is an Olive Bush in clay.
Below is a view of a 7' Olive tree in a traditional urn in a small home in Scottsdale.
8' Fiddle Leaf Tree in a clay pot.
This is a Natida Ficus in a clay c egg pot.
Below is a pic of what natural Manzanita branches look like up close.
Birdsnest Fern Tree on Gnarled Manzanita.
These trees can be very artistic because we use the most twisted of trunks, so this particular tree really shows off the rustic beauty of the Manzanita.
As a side note: I've noticed generally that the Manzanita trunks in Arizona are much more interesting than the trees on the west coast. I suspect because the forests here get a lot less water, the Manz. start twisting almost immediately and developing the characteristic gray parts inherent in the wood. In our shop we call the gray part of the wood, "abuelo or grandfather" wood.
