This is a natural Manzanita Tree in a Clay C egg pot.
This tree is right from the forest. We lightly stain the leaves a light green to keep them greener longer and we oil the trunk with a combonation of linseed oil and Kramer's Antique Improveroil.
The plus's to using natural Manzanita for decorating is that ... it is very natural looking. There is no fake look because we work hard to keep as many of the leaves intact as possible. It's especially very interesting when there is some "grandfather" wood, which is where some of the trunk has started to turn "gray", is showing. Natural Manzanita also has great value for the money and size.
The downside to Manzanita is eventually the leaves slowly turn a rusty red and with age the leaves become more fragile. If you move the tree, some of the leaves will fall off.
Please call us for available inventory. We usually have a schedule for cutting these trees and if we know the size someone needs and a desired shape, we can keep an eye out when we are in the forest.
I think it needs to be said that we never kill a tree ... we only prune the forest. Only unless we get called in to clear a homesite do we ever take one from the roots. This is the same reason we never make "faux" Ocotillos also, because to make one we would have to kill a plant and our company just won't do it.
