My wife saved a newspaper obituary from January 1, 2005 of which she brought it out this evening and read it to me. My wife is a 6 year survivor of breast cancer Sept 7. The obituary is from Glendle Lee Faulkinbury to his wife Judith Marie Duncan Faulkinbury.
Such beautiful sentiments and act of love such as this cannot be left un-noticed. I love the way he coyly uses his words in it also. Thank you Mr. Faulkinbury for putting into words my sentiments for Kiki. The title to my poem would be, "The Brown Haired Beauty".
May God grant mercy to the soul of His handmaiden Judith Marie. Rest in peace.
The Red Haired Beauty
"Yes ... I Will"
---
Now that you know, will you still love me?
"Yes I will"
When I go on Chemo, will you still love me?
"Yes I will"
When I go on radiation, will you still love me?
"Yes I will"
When my left breath is gone, will you still love me?
"Yes I will"
When my right breath is gone, will you still love me?
"Yes I will"
When my red hair is gone, will you still love me?
"Yes I will"
Will you stay with me during the Chemo Treatments?
"Yes I will"
Will you be there when I receive radiation?
"Yes I will"
How about all those doctor visits?
"Yes I will"
Will you love me when I whistle the bed?
"Yes I will"
Will you love me when I untidy the bed?
"Yes I will"
Will you love me when my mind is fussy?
"Yes I will"
"Will you love me when I bark back at you?
"Yes I will"
Will you love me when my mind is gone?
"Yes I will"
Will you love me when I can't call you "Huckleberry"?
"Yes I will"
Will you love when the fire is gone from my eyes?
"Yes I will"
Will you love me when I am gone?
"Yes I will, Yes I will, Yes I will"
