Most people in Arizona don't realize that Cardinals actually live here because they have never seen one, except for a football player. They are very rare, but they do exist here. Here's proof that Arizona really does have Cardinals.
I took this picture in southern Arizona earlier this week on Jan. 19th when my wife and I were visiting our daughter at school. Usually the male cardinals are more brown in this part of the country ... but the nice thing about this guy (perched in a Pomagranite tree) is his extroadinary color.
